We come bearing gifts! 🎁

If you’re reading this, we probably contacted you about claiming your .eth NFT. Your .eth NFT represents your name and makes it easy for your fans to tip you on Ethereum. This post has instructions on how to claim it, as well as background info if you are new to Ethereum, NFTs, and .eth names.

Why do you want a “.eth”?

Because you like getting paid. Setting up your .eth and putting it on your social media profiles makes it easy for your fans to send crypto tips directly to your Ethereum wallet. Instead of needing to copy and paste your crypto wallet address, they can just use your .eth name, which is much more user friendly.

Also lots of famous people are showing off their .eth names these days, so you’ll be in good company. Check out the leaderboard of the top twitter accounts with .eth—Nicole Aniston was the top followed adult talent on the list, but 3xpiggy.eth and brennasparks.eth were not far behind.

Here’s some more info on .eth names.

What do you need to do?

Well, first you’ll need an Ethereum wallet. We recommend MetaMask, but other wallets like Rainbow Wallet or Coinbase Wallet work too. The important thing is that the wallet is “self-custody”, which means you set the wallet up with the seed phrase and have full control of it.

Don’t end up like souljaboy.eth (forever lost in Coinbase) because Soulja didn’t set up a self-custody wallet before he received his .eth name.

If you’re new to all this, you can follow this beginner tutorial for setting up MetaMask.

Once you have an Ethereum Wallet, you can claim the funds by DMing us @spankchain with your wallet address, which will look like this: 0x297bf847dcb01f3e870515628b36eabad491e5e8.

You will also need to DM us the following statement, to confirm that you read this far:
